A Tribute to Mommies

Me and My Mom
In honor of Mother’s Day I’ve decided to write a tribute to all moms.  This will be a four part blog about all the different kinds of mommies.  I want to honor each group and point out what is hard about what they do.  A lot of times each group of mommies thinks their jobs are harder for one reason or another.  But everyone’s job is hard as well as rewarding.

Part 1 – The Working Mom

I’m not a working mom.  I’m not in this strenuous position, but I do have more friends that are working moms than any other, plus my mom and all my Aunts were working moms.

Working moms really have it hard sometimes.  I can’t even imagine how they do it.  There are days that Kaylee only lets me get 4 hours of sleep and worst of all is that this can sometimes go on for weeks at a time.  Now, I can make it because I get to take a nap with her in the afternoon, but working moms don’t get that.  They have to make it through an 8 to 10 hour work day.  I have no idea how they do it, I would be exhausted all of the time (which I already am but I don’t have to have a working brain).

Then after working all those hours they come home, make dinner, do any chores that need to be done and finally get to sit down with their child.  I can’t imagine not having all the time in the world with my little girl.  It must be so hard for their time to be shortened with their kids.

So, today’s tribute goes out to all the women in my life who are working mothers; Kelly Marler, Kylie Costa, Erin Lysaght, Melissa Ernest, Aunt Donna Maxwell, Aunt Mary Worley, Aunt Joanie Martin, and last but certainly not least, my mom, Brenda Rosenberry-Shearer.
