Considering how much I have moved you would think I’m a pro at this now. But I think it never gets easier. As a child, I remember constantly leaving my friends behind and as an adult I still do the same thing. It is a little funny that most of my close friends move around a lot too.
I’ve moved a lot in my adult life. The big moves would be when I moved to Florida and then to North Carolina. It’s funny that I lived in Florida for about 3 or 4 years and I made such a small impact on that state that I’m really only friends with one person from there still, and she doesn’t even live there anymore!
I really hope that we’ll be able to give Kaylee a stable home. As a child I wanted nothing more than to stay in one school, make friends and keep them. I don’t want to do that to my child.
So, the packing is started, I’m reserving the truck. Job hunting and house hunting. And now that I have a child there is a whole new level to all this. Finding a new playgroup for my daughter. I’m not looking forward to that part at all.
