The Rumors of My Death...

  …have been greatly exaggerated.

In the excitement of moving into our new home, without internet for over a month, I completely forgot to inform all of my readers that I would be gone.  I know all 6 of you must have missed me tremendously!  And I promise that it’s not true that I ran off to Russia, got remarried and had 7 kids.

So, what have I been doing during my prolonged absence?  As many are aware, I was living with family while my husband searched for a job.  Things usually happen quickly and they certainly did for us.  My husband got a job offer; we found a place and moved in all in a week.  So you can see how it is that I didn’t have a chance to post anything regarding it.

Of course the most surprising thing is the lack of internet that we are suffering from.  The day we decided to move I started shopping around for internet in our new home.  I checked with cable and phone and finally settled on AT&T.  I could go on and on about my reasons why.  I am aware that cable is faster, but we had a horrible experience with the cable company in our new area many years ago.  It left a horrible taste in our mouth and we never want to do business with them again.  DirecTV doesn’t offer good internet service (plus we’re planning on cutting the cord), Verizon is too expensive…  So local phone company AT&T it is.  We had them before and their customer service is really good.  They’re doing a special right now (might not be anymore by now).  The negative to the awesome special is that I was put on a month wait to get my service connected.

A month.  Without internet.  Yes, this has been very hard.  But I have gotten a lot done.

Well, it’s only the 22nd now.  My internet won’t be connected until the 6th of next month.  I’m so bored that I’ve decided to start writing blog posts now and put them up one day at a time once the internet fairy comes to my home.  I’ve managed to completely unpack, cross stitch three items, watch all my back logged movies, re-watch a bunch of favorites and re-watch all of How I Met Your Mother.

I’ll finish this up now because my internet fairy, by the name of Joe, came today.  He was amazing and I plan on giving AT&T a 5 star rating regarding my new service.  He explained that they are so swamped that he is working 6 days a week with 15 hour days.  He even played with my little girl for a few minutes and was completely tolerant of her antics during the installation.  On top of that, I received a reminder email yesterday regarding my install, and then Joe called 45 minutes before he was going to be here to tell me he was on the way!  I have never received this kind of service from anyone.

Thank you internet fairy Joe, thank you AT&T and most of all, thank you internet…  I love you, please never leave again.
