So, now I see these pretty young girls and I think about how they really should enjoy it while they have it. Beauty and sexiness isn’t something that stays forever. And if you have a kid it will be gone quicker than you thought. It’s not because you’re not pretty anymore, it’s because you have a kid with you.
Seriously, you men out there, do you check out women who are toting tots with them? Having a kid can automatically take you from a 9 all the way down to a 5. And if you’re no longer a 9 because of having a baby (admit it, having a baby messes most women’s bodies up) then it’s even worse.
| Me Now (made-up) |
I noticed the change when I was at the grocery store. I was pushing my daughter around the store and people smile sweetly at my daughter but no one looks at me. I might as well be wall paper.
I’m not digging for compliments here; I’m just surprised how my personal overall appearance has changed. I really look like a mom now. It’s almost as if it would defy a law somewhere in the universe if I looked hot for 2 seconds.
Okay, I have to admit, I see those hot moms sometimes. I have no idea how they do it. Not a hair out of place, make-up is perfect and a body that is rocking. Did they really have that kid? Are they sure? Do they have a nanny? How do they have time to look so good? Most of the time my hair is pinned down by about 5 or 6 clips that are half fallen out and I barely remember what make-up is. I don’t wear perfume anymore and my clothes are purchased to be comfortable for carting around a toddler.
That is so not hot.

I'm not sure how those moms do it - they probably do have nannies. I know I have a hard enough time brushing my hair some days because Emily wants to "help"
ReplyDeleteAll made up or not, I think you look great! And so does Tom & Kaylee! Besides, we've all watched the reality shows of those moms and what they have on the outside doesn't come close to what should be on the inside!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Like I said I'm not fishing for compliments. It was more of a commentary on how moms are treated differently and how your whole outlook changes.
